You, the Parent
  • You, the Parent
Identity and branding focused on informing parents of ways to monitor their children's use of a variety of media.
  • You, the Parent was focused on creating a campaign to serve as a public service announcement of some kind. In particular, You, the Parent, aims at the increase in blame on media for the actions of children, when, in fact, more attentive parenting could easily have circumvented the media issues. The idea is that instead of national censorship, parents should be responsible for censoring what their children have access to.

This campaign is delivered via four channels. First is a series of posters meant to draw an audience to visit the website. Second is a matching series of web advertisements on parenting themed websites and social media initiatives meant to draw users towards the website. Next there is, of course, the website itself, which is full of aggregated and original content, news, tips and sponsor information. Finally, users can download an application which aids parents in monitoring their children's media use, even allowing them to remotely disable various digital technologies.
